Andrea Bagioli and Team Colpack in triumph on France’s roads. The 20-year-old from Valtellina defended his leadership in the last stage (Bélesta – Saint-Girons km 134.8) and won the final classification of the Ronde de l’Isard, a prestigious international Under 23 stage race.
“From the first day, I felt very good – says a satisfied Andrea Bagioli, retracing his business -, then I won the second stage, the next day I managed to stay with the best on the climb and in the end, I managed to make a difference. Today with the help of the team we controlled the race and together with all my teammates we did a great job “.
An important victory for the future too: “A success that is good for morale, especially in view of the Giro d’Italia, U23. I want to dedicate it to the whole team, to President Colleoni, to my girlfriend and to my parents”, concludes Bagioli.
Sporting director Gianluca Valoti was also satisfied: “We managed to bring this victory home. The boys made a very good job. First, they worked Colnaghi and Dorigoni, then Covi, Baldaccini, and Botta who was the man who stayed closest to Bagioli uphill. A breakaway of four and four went off as we wanted and then we controlled the situation well behind”.

On Sunday Team Colpack raced also in Pregnana Milanese for the Trofeo Larghi G. a.m. The team managed to get a solid second place with Colombian Nicolas Gomez and fifth with teammate Giulio Masotto.
